The EVM (mini-)Summit is back as a series of sessions at Devcon 7 SEA in Bangkok, Thailand!

Speakers and panelists from the Ipsilon Team and various other projects and initiatives will dive into different aspects of enhancing Ethereum's execution environment and engine, the EVM. If you're involved with any EVM-related project or initiative - be it Ethereum Mainnet, other chains, or tools - or simply an enthusiast, we encourage you to join the sessions!.

Mission

The EVM sessions aim to bring together experts, developers, and enthusiasts to explore EVM improvement initiatives such as the EVM Object Format (EOF) These proposals are crucial for addressing long-standing issues and quirks inherent in the EVM, streamlining the development process of compilers, and providing new opportunities for compiler optimization. Ultimately, these efforts are geared towards significantly enhancing the overall developer experience.

The sessions will be an open platform for discussing a broad range of topics related to the EVM, including, but not limited to, advancements in zkEVMs, smart contract security, and the development and enhancement of EVM programming languages.

What to expect at the event

This year, the EVM Summit won't be a separate event. Instead, it will be part of Devcon 7 SEA as a continuous EVM-related sessions within a thematic block of the core protocol track. You will need a Devcon ticket to attend the sessions. If you don't have a Devcon ticket, you can apply for a day ticket to attend the EVM sessions ↗️ here.

The sessions are designed to be interactive, fostering in-depth discussions and collaborative efforts to address various pain poinrts associated with the EVM. Participants are encouraged to bring up any related topics that might contribute to the collective knowledge and progress of the EVM ecosystem. These comprehensive discussions aim to drive forward the evolution and improvement of the EVM in a holistic manner.
