The EVM Summit 0 is a one-day conference that focuses on the execution environment and engine of Ethereum, also known as the EVM. The event is organized by the Ipsilon Team and will be held during Devconnect Istanbul this year.

Anyone involved with an EVM-related project or initiative, whether it is Ethereum Mainnet, other chains, or tools, is welcome to participate in the Summit. Stay tuned for more updates and make sure to follow the event on Twitter 🐦.

Mission

The EVM Summit aims to explore and discuss various aspects of the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) to identify challenges that need to be addressed, as well as areas for improvement, including related EIPs. Additionally, the summit will focus on challenges and future directions for L1 and L2 scaling solutions, including zkEVMs.

The event will foster conversations on how to improve collaboration between L1 and L2 networks, as well as among different L2 networks. The summit also aims to gather and discuss client-specific (including zkEVM) findings on EVM peculiarities. Furthermore, various interesting topics from the language and smart contract world will be covered as well.

What to expect at the event?

The EVM Summit is an independent one-day event that takes place during the week of Devconnect in Istanbul. The summit will feature in-depth talks, panel discussions, workshops, and opportunities for collaboration among (core) developers, researchers, industry experts, and enthusiasts. The goal of the event is to explore and discuss various aspects of the EVM, and to advance its capabilities and adoption.
